YOU CAN NEVER BE LOST

Spiritually, we can never truly be lost, for the Divine is omnipresent. A spark of this Divine essence resides within you as your truest Self. It’s vital not to mistake the physical body for the entirety of who you are.

As Divinity embodied, even when you feel hopelessly adrift, know that you are like a self-righting boat. Its ballast corrects its course after any squall, and its inherent buoyancy ensures it cannot sink. Your Divine nature is this unwavering ballast, this unsinkable core.

Each spiritual journey is profoundly personal. Edgar Allan Poe eloquently expressed this uniqueness in “Alone”:

“I have not been as others were

I have not seen as others saw

I could not bring my passions from a common spring

From the same source I have not taken my sorrow

I could not awaken my heart to joy at the same tone

And all I lov’d—I lov’d alone”

Embrace your distinct path. It might lead you through valleys before you ascend to great heights. Recognizing what you need to release from your past illuminates the way forward.

Kahlil Gibran, in his poem “Defeat,” further explores this idea of emerging stronger from the crucible of our perceived failures:

“Defeat, My Defeat…

You are dearer to me than a thousand triumphs,

And sweeter to my heart than all world-glory. …

You and I shall laugh together with the storm,

And together we shall dig graves for all that die in us,

And we shall stand in the sun with a will, And we shall be dangerous.”

(Excerpts from both poems.)
